Hello rock fans, we didn’t lie, we’re going to try and get a monthly newsletter out to you guys to keep you up to date with your favourite local rock ‘n’ roll kings.  Heaviside has been extremely busy over the last few weeks and there’s going to be lots of new and exciting things coming your way in the next little while.

To start, it’s spring, which means summer is on its way, which in turn means you can now stumble your drunk asses home from Heaviside shows unencumbered by sub-zero temperatures and snow.  It also means that Heaviside is gearing up for what promises to be an ear shattering summer.  The band has signed on to several summer festivals so stay tuned for details regarding that.  In addition to this we have several fan contests and other events planned for you guys so keep your eye on www.heaviside.ca and you can get in on all the latest news and prizes.

In the not so distant future we’ve got a couple of shows coming your way.  The first of which is a very special feature performance at Hooliganz on April 27th to help celebrate the 6 month anniversary of their open mic night.  Heaviside will be stripping it down and doing some more acoustic based versions of your favourites, so be sure to get your Wednesday night drink on and check that out. Next up is a Friday the 13th extravaganza in May, and yep you guessed it, it’s the 13th.  We’ll be playing Eden with our pals the Apresnos, so if you need to get your rock ‘n’ roll fix, or you boob fix come on down cuz you get can get everything you need there.  Lastly, we have another date on June 24th at Haven Social Club with our dear friends the Frank from Blackfalds.  The Apresnos will also be sharing the stage that evening so it is taking shape to be the most solid rock show we’ve seen in awhile, so let’s get it done right and blow the roof off that motherfucker.

Well, like I said we have been busy.  April saw us play to a sold out crowd at Brixx Bar & Grill, so thank you to everyone who made it out and partied with us, from what I remember it was a great time.  We were fortunate enough to have filmed the show, for those of you like me suffering from alcohol induced memory loss we will be posting clips on the website. It was a kickass set on Heaviside’s behalf so take a look, especially if you’re trying to remember if that girl in the front row really was a fox or if that’s just what you tell your friends so they think you’re cool, the evidence is all there.  We have also officially released the Eva / Queen For A Day single on iTunes.  You can grab your copy at http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/heaviside/id430536962 .

In other news Kyle has returned to us from bass camp.  Though his behaviour has not improved as we had hoped, he is definitely not as damaged as we expected.  That should about cover it for April, keep on rockin’ kids and we hope to see you all at the Heaviside ‘n’ Stripper Friday the 13th Extravaganza.  Cheers.
