Hey Rock Fans, here we are in December.  Just thought we’d fire off a quick newsletter to say Happy Holidays and let you know what to expect from Heaviside in the New Year.  Again, for those of you who aren’t already signed up to the mailing list you can sign up at our website (www.heaviside.ca).

So first and foremost the big news!  We finished recording Eva and had a blast with Terry Paholek at the Physics Lab, great studio.  We got a great take of the song and perhaps even did another one…  Stay tuned to the website to hear some new Heaviside in the New Year, we can assure you it’s awesome stuff.  However in the meantime we’ve got some videos of us in the studio to tide you over until the track (or tracks…) are completed.

Next up it’s not too late to nominate your favourite rock group (it sure as hell better be us) for the first ever Edmonton Music Awards.  You can go to http://www.oddballproductions.ca/EdmontonMusicAwards.html to make your nominations.  We are only eligible for the “Artist to Watch” award, but we would definitely appreciate your support and the chance to be recognized by our local music scene.  Also, there are many other deserving acts whom many of you have seen sharing the stage with Heaviside, so support your local music scene and nominate a deserving artist.

Lastly, we’re looking to kick start things in the New Year with a January 22 show at Brixx Bar and Grill.  It’s lining up to be a great rock show with two other really cool bands, we will definitely have more details closer to the date but be sure to mark it on your calendars.  Also we have a ton of cool contests lined up for you guys.  We still have the photo contest up and running so it’s not to late to get your camera out to the show and snap a photo of Heaviside in order to be eligible to win some free gear.

That pretty much gets us for this newsletter guys, so have a safe and happy holiday and we hope to see you back to your usual selves up front and drunk at the next gig, cheers.
