So first and foremost, big news everyone, we’re hitting up the Physics Lab at the end of the month with Terry Paholek to re-record “Eva”! We’ve revamped the song and given it new life so be sure to stay tuned on the happenings with that. We will be posting a series of videos following us through the recording process, so if you want to catch a sneak peak of the track check out the featured videos section on our website. Once completed we will be releasing the song to Canadian radio, so don’t be surprised if you hear Heaviside rocking out of your car stereo in the near future.
Secondly, we have a few upcoming shows before the end of the year. The first of which will be at Edmonton’s newest live music venue Lyve on Whyte on November 18th. We will also be at Eden’s the Dungeon on December 11th in Edmonton with our friends Vox Humana. So if you like hard rock and naked women, you won’t want to miss this one. We will ring out 2010 at Deckerz in Blackfalds on December 18th for a crazy night of rock and roll debauchery. Also, we will be premiering two new songs at this slew of shows. Never before heard songs “Bring It On” and “Roll Out the Carpet” will be performed, and who knows, maybe you’ll even be lucky enough to hear the new version of “Eva.”
Also, we wanted to inform you guys about the Edmonton Music Awards. This is a brand new function acknowledging, celebrating and promoting Edmonton music and musicians in all forms. Since many of you have witnessed a lot great Edmonton talent share the stage with Heaviside, you’ve seen enough to know which bands are deserving local recognition. Lastly, we’ll leave you with our first fan contest. This is a chance for you to win a free Heaviside T-Shirt, as well as a copy of our debut album Pushin’ Forward Back and a feature on our website. We are holding a fan photo contest. So over the next few shows be sure to bring your camera and snap a few pictures of Heaviside in action. Then submit them on our website under photos.
